- Legendary composer and early Jack Kerouac collaborator David Amram and his quartet (Kevin
Twigg, drums; Rene Hart, bass; Adam Amram, percussion) perform music of Kerouac's era and
accompany actors Michael
Shannon (Man of Steel, Boardwalk Empire), John Ventimiglia
(The Sopranos) and poet, actor and spoken word artist Frank Messina as they read the
works of Jack Kerouac. Special guest speakers include author and biographer Joyce Johnson,
Kerouac Project co-founder Summer Rodman
and former Kerouac Project resident poet Monica Wendel.

A percentage of the proceeds will support The Jack Kerouac
Writer-in-Residence Project of Orlando, Florida, home to nearly fifty writers since the
Fall of 2000. Each competes with a worldwide pool of applicants to live and create,
rent-free, for three months at a time. The Kerouac Project is a registered 501(c)(3)
non-profit group and operates solely on tax deductible donations.
